 Officially in the name of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Egypt is located in North Africa. Egypt is a great power in Africa. Egypt is one of the most powerful countries in the Islamic world. The area covered by Egypt is about 1,010,000 square kilometers. Egypt is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea from the northern side, bordered by the Gaza Strip and Israel to the northeast, bordered by the eastern side of the Red Sea, bordered by the southern side of Sudan, and bordered by the western side of Libya. Egypt is one of the busiest countries in the Middle East and Africa

The majority of Egypt's population lives near the banks of the Nile. The area of residence near the banks of the Nile river is about 40,000 square kilometers. A few Egyptian people also live in the Sahara Desert.





Half of Egypt's population used to live in the city areas. The main cities in Egypt are Cairo, Alexandria and Giza. Other major cities in Egypt are located in the Nile Delta in northern Egypt.



Egypt was independent from British rule in 1952. The Egyptian Republic was declared on June 18, 1953.  Led by Major General Mohamed Najib, he is the first president of the Arab Republic of Egypt. But then President Gamal Abdel Nasser came to the presidency in 1954.



The worst part of Egypt's history was in 1967 when Israel occupied Egypt's Sinai Peninsula and the Gaza Strip during the Six-Day War. The Egyptian army was then able to recover all the land stolen from the Israeli army in the War of October 6, 1973. 








In 1980, President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak came to the presidency of Egypt.  In 2011, Egyptians began their revolt against Hosni Mubarak's rule and were forced to resign. Many Egyptians are participating in this revolution. The protest was widespread on January 25, 2011. The main objective of the protest was to get rid of the regime of President Hosni Mubarak. This protest was supported by many Egyptian peoples as well as the peoples of many countries. The United States has also forced Hosni Mubarak to resign, but he does not want to. On January 29, 2011, it became clear that Hosni Mubarak's regime had lost control of the country. The happiest day in the lives of Egyptians is February 11, 2011, when Hosni Mubarak resigned and went to Cairo. The Egyptian army then took control of the state for a short time.

The flag has a golden falcon. This flag was designed in 1972. The flag of Egypt consists of three colors: red, white and black. 



Egypt is the 30 largest country in the world. The land area of Egypt is equal to the size of Central America. 






Egypt's climate is mild. Most of the rain in Egypt usually falls in the winter months. It's usually raining at the end of the year. Rain mostly falls in October to March. It also rains in the Sinai mountains and some northern areas, namely Damietta, Sidi Barani and Baltim. It sometimes rains in Alexandria.







There are many tourist and archaeological places in Egypt. Such as Aswan and Luxor in southern Egypt. Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada and Dahab in the east. And the city of Siwa and Morsi is on the west 



One of Egypt's most important exports is cotton, reeds and sugar. Recently it became iron, steel, construction tools, fertilizers and furniture.









Egypt has the most important waterway in the world, the Suez Canal. It connects the Mediterranean sea with the Red Sea.  It is the most important waterway in the world. More than 40% of containers and cargo ships pass through this waterway. The whole world follows this corridor every day because of its importance in maritime traffic. 

 





Football is the most popular sport in Egypt. There are two most famous clubs in Egypt: Al Ahli and Zamalek.





Egypt is one of the first countries to know all the arts. Like theatrical acting, singing, belly dancing and music. And there's the first opera house in the world. 







Egypt is the first country to screen the first film in the world. The Lumière brothers made the world's first film and it was screened in France in 1889. A few months later they came to Egypt to screen the first film in the world in Alexandria. Since then, the film industry has begun in Egypt, France, America and all European countries.  But when World War I and II came.  Life in Europe has stopped. Egypt and America became the only countries that make movies until the wars in Europe ended
